Court Enters Lone Pine Order in Bextra/Celebrex MDL

SAN FRANCISCO - The judge overseeing the Celebrex and Bextra MDL has entered a Lone Pine order that requires plaintiffs to provide expert reports containing specific information about injuries they allegedly suffered after taking the drugs. In Re: Bextra and Celebrex Marketing Sales Practices and Product Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1699 (N.D. Calif.).
The Aug. 1 order entered by Judge Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California will augment the plaintiffs' fact sheets, allowing counsel and the experts they have consulted to consider whether there are good grounds to continue their suit.
