Decision on Avandia MDL Expected After September Meeting

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A federal judicial panel will hear argument next month on a motion to consolidate all federal lawsuits alleging injuries caused by the diabetes drug Avandia. In Re: Avandia Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1871 (JPML).

According to a an order issued Aug. 17 by the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, the petition to create MDL 1871 for Avandia Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation will be heard Sept. 27 in New York.
