Judge Says Ind. Woman Did Not Receive Novartis' Lotrel, Dismisses Case

INDIANAPOLIS - An Indiana judge dismissed a woman's lawsuit against Novartis on Dec. 6, saying the plaintiff's medical records indicate she did not receive the medication she claimed was responsible for her alleged injuries. Powell v. Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp. No. 1:05-cv-1261-SEB-VSS (S.D. Ind.).

Inez Powell sued Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp., Methodist Hospital and Dr. John M. Miller in Marion County (Ind.) Superior Court (No. 49D11-0504-CT-013981) on April 13. Her case was removed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on Aug. 24.
