Sisters Withdraw Opposition to MDL Transfer After Remand Denied

CHARLESTON - Two sisters voluntarily withdrew their opposition to the transfer of their individual lawsuits to the Prempro Products Liability Litigation MDL two weeks after a federal judge denied their motion to remand to state court in West Virginia. Barker, et al., v. Wyeth Inc., et al., No. 2:04-CV-00854 (S.D. W. Va.).

Plaintiffs Carolyn Barker of West Virginia and her sister, Wilma Shockley of Delaware, allege personal injuries, cancer fears and medical monitoring costs as a result of using unspecified hormone replacement therapy drugs made or distributed by Wyeth, Pfizer Inc. and Greenstone Ltd.
