BIRMINGHAM, Ala -- Plaintiffs in a Duragesic action have amended the complaint to add eight additional plaintiffs who allege that they were injured by allegedly defective pain relief patches. Dawson v. Johnson & Johnson, et al., No. cv-04-J-1393-J (N.D. Ala.).

In the July 26 amended complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, lead plaintiff LaVon Dawson reasserts that the time-released pain medication patch leaked, prompting the plaintiffs to overdose on opiate fentanyl.
