MINNEAPOLIS - Guidant Corp. and Cardiac Pacemakers Inc. withdrew an all writs motion against a Texas attorney after calling his discovery tactics 'abusive,' and saying he would threaten discovery in the Guidant Implantable Defibrillator MDL. In re: Guidant Corp. Implantable Defibrillators Products Liability Litigation. MDL No. 1708. Case No. 0:05-md-1708 (D. Minn.).

Guidant and Cardiac Pacemakers moved for an order to temporarily enjoin Robert Hilliard of Hillard & Munoz in Corpus Christi, Texas, his law firm, associated counsel and clients, from continuing his Texas state court actions pending completion of all MDL depositions.
