JPML Creates Federal Docket for Paxil-Withdrawal Cases

WASHINGTON - The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) granted Dec. 19 a petition requesting the creation of a federal docket for cases involving Paxil-related injuries. In re: Paxil Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1574 (C.D. Calif.).
The Panel's decision concluded that approximately 13 cases proceeding through 11 different districts throughout the country will be transferred and centralized for the purposes of pretrial discovery in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
