Howmedica Seeks Dismissal of Claims Subject to 2018 Stryker LFIT Hip Settlement

BOSTON — Howmedica Osteonics Corp. has asked the judge overseeing the Stryker LFIT CoCr V40 Femoral Heads hip implant multidistrict litigation for an order dismissing with prejudice certain actions in which the plaintiffs’ claims were resolved in a November 2018 settlement.

In briefs filed before Judge Indira Talwani of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, HOC also seeks an order partially dismissing actions in which certain, but not all, claims are subject to the settlement.
