SHREVEPORT, La. - The manufacturer of Ripped Fuel maintains in a recently filed answer to a products liability suit that the ephedra-based product did not cause a man's stroke and that the product was accompanied by adequate warnings. Jeremy Allgrunn v. TwinLab Corporation, No. CV02-2057-S (W.D. La.).

TwinLab contends that the product was not dangerous in its manufacture or composition and that it was designed, formulated and tested in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994, the Feb. 6 document states.
