INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana man has sued Stryker Orthopaedics, claiming that defects in components of the company’s Accolade hip implant system caused him to suffer severe injuries and eventually led to a revision surgery.

Russell Layne filed the complaint Nov. 22 in Marion County Superior Court, accusing Stryker of ignoring data from implanting surgeons and other scientific research that indicated problems with the Accolade system and incorporated LFIT V40 femoral head.
