WASHINGTON, D.C. — The compounding pharmacy allegedly responsible for an outbreak of meningitis cases linked to contaminated pain injections has told a federal judiciary panel that it supports the creation of a centralized docket for lawsuits brought against the company.

In a Nov. 7 brief submitted to the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, New England Compounding Center Inc. says the 28 federal lawsuits it currently faces as a result of the outbreak, and the hundreds of additional personal injury and wrongful death cases it expects will be filed in the future, would be more efficiently handled before a single federal …
