MINNEAPOLIS - A Minnesota man has sued Zimmer Inc., alleging that its NexGen total knee replacement system has a tendency to loosen, causing patients unnecessary pain and repeat surgeries. Singsaas v. Zimmer Inc., et al., No. 11-122 (D. Minn.).
The Jan. 18 complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, says Zimmer "knew or should have known" that the device was defective and could cause personal injury, significant pain and loss of movement.
