Ohio Federal Judge Refuses to Transfer Amiodarone Case to Virginia

COLUMBUS, Ohio - An amiodarone injury case should not be transferred from Ohio federal court to the Eastern District of Virginia because the evidence does not demonstrate that Virginia is the more convenient forum, an Ohio federal judge has ruled. Arters, et. ux. v. Sandoz Inc., et al., No. 2:10-142 (S.D. Ohio).

On Sept. 27, Magistrate Judge Elizabeth A. Preston Deavers of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio ruled that while Virginia would be more convenient for the defendants, it would be inconvenient for the plaintiffs.
