TRENTON, N.J. - A New Jersey federal judge has dismissed a proposed class action that accused Shering-Plough Corp. of illegally promoting its chemotherapy drugs, ruling that the allegations lack the required specificity. In re Schering-Plough Corp. Consumer Class Action, No. 06-5774 (D. N.J.).

On July 10, U.S. District Judge Stanley R. Chesler of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey found that the claims failed to meet the pleading requirements of the federal and New Jersey Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Acts.
