Camp Lejeune Court Weighs in on Administrative Remedy Exhaustion Dispute

WILMINGTON, N.C. –– The court overseeing the Camp Lejeune coordinated water contamination docket has weighed in on a dispute regarding the exhaustion of administrative remedies, opining that three out of four plaintiffs had properly filed claims.

In the Sept. 10 order, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina also declined to issue an advisory opinion regarding what constitutes a legal representative for claimants under the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, saying that no live controversy exists between the parties.
