United States Opposes Proposal for Multi-Plaintiff Trials in Camp Lejeune Docket

RALEIGH, N.C. –– The United States has filed an opposition brief to the Camp Lejeune Plaintiff Leadership Group’s recent Rule 16 statement, calling the brief procedurally improper, incorrect on substance, and argued that it would not “expedite resolution” in the coordinated water contamination docket.

The United States file its response to the Rule 16 Statement on Jan. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, calling the Plaintiff Leadership Group’s filing nothing more than a “set of requests to unilaterally amend Case Management Order No. 2.”
