TRENTON, N.J. –– A New Jersey bankruptcy judge has heard arguments by attorneys who seek reimbursement of fees and expenses they incurred for a 29-day period in 2021 while LTL Management LLC’s first Chapter 11 case was in the Western District of North Carolina, and prior to the Official Committee of Talc Claimants’ retention of counsel.

During an Aug. 2 hearing presided over by Chief Judge Michael B. Kaplan of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, counsel said the movants “made a substantial contribution to the reorganization process” and are entitled to recoup their expenses from …
