PTI Royston Says Ga. Talcum Powder Claims Fail in Wake of Appellate Court Order

ATLANTA –– PTI Royston has filed notices of supplemental authority in several talcum powder cases pending in Georgia state court, arguing a recent appellate court decision “marks an unequivocal end for plaintiffs’ strict liability claims.”

In July notices filed in several cases pending in Georgia State Court, Fulton County, PTI Royston explained that the recent Court of Appeal decision confirmed that “the statute of repose does not conflict with the statute of limitations provisions unique to Georgia’s Asbestos Act, and so the statute of repose applies event to strict liability claims made pursuant to the Asbestos Act.”
