Missouri Appellate Court Stays Appeal of $55 Million Talcum Powder Verdict; Will Wait for Mo. Supreme Court’s Ruling in Fox




ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri intermediate appellate court has stayed the due date for briefing in the appeal of a $55 million verdict, noting that the jurisdictional issues set to be addressed by the state high court will control the jurisdiction issue in the underlying proceeding.

In a Jan. 5 docket entry, the Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeal stated that the plaintiff had filed a renewed and unopposed motion to limit briefing to jurisdictional issues.
