Missouri Appellate Court Denies Defense Writ of Prohibition in Talc Case; Multi-Plaintiff Trial Set for June




ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri appellate court has denied a defense application for writ of prohibition in a talcum powder case, rejecting defense efforts to have the intermediate appellate court weigh in on a lower court order issued in a multi-plaintiff case scheduled for trial later this year.

The Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeals denied the application for writ of prohibition filed by Johnson & Johnson and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. on Dec. 13, just two days after it was filed.
