FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –– A motion to dismiss a talcum powder case remains pending in a Florida state court, with the Johnson & Johnson defendants contending that the plaintiffs’ complaint does not state a claim upon which relief could be granted.

The Johnson & Johnson defendants filed the motion to dismiss in the Florida 17th Judicial Circuit Court for Broward County at the end of July; the plaintiffs have not yet responded.
