Calif. Court Schedules Hearing on Post-Trial Motions Attacking $417 Million Talcum Powder Verdict




LOS ANGELES –– A California trial court has scheduled a hearing to address defense post-trial motions attacking a $417 million talcum powder verdict, saying it will hear arguments relating to the motions on Oct. 12.

At that time, the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County will address Johnson & Johnson and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc.’s position that the verdict should be overturned on a number of grounds, including lack of causation evidence and juror misconduct.
