LOS ANGELES — Plaintiffs who accused Lumber Liquidators of fraudulently promoting its home formaldehyde test kit program have amended their lawsuit to include claims that the company is lying to consumers about the significance of their test results.
In an amended complaint filed May 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the plaintiffs allege that Lumber Liquidators is falsely assuring customers that the air in their homes is safe by misrepresenting the established standards for what constitutes “the range of normal” for formaldehyde exposure from indoor air.
