SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge has ordered Lumber Liquidators to produce two witnesses to answer questions about the do-it-yourself home testing kits the company is distributing to customers concerned about formaldehyde emissions from hardwood flooring products.

In a May 5 order, Judge Jon S. Tigar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled that as part of efforts to halt the test program, plaintiffs may depose Lumber Liquidators’ director of customer care and the doctor charged with managing the labs processing the test kits.
