Lumber Liquidators Seeks Court Delay to Avoid ‘Feeding Frenzy’ in Flooring Litigation

SAN FRANCISCO — Lumber Liquidators has asked a California federal judge to delay ruling on motions related to the testing of the company’s allegedly hazardous flooring products until after the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation decides whether it will create an MDL for the cases.
The April 10 request for a court-ordered postponement of upcoming hearings on the matter, as well as an extension of deadlines for responding to the plaintiffs’ request, will prevent what Lumber Liquidators predicts will become a “feeding frenzy” of similar court filings in the more than 90 other class actions pending against the company in …
