CPSC Launches Investigation into Lumber Liquidators Laminate Flooring Products

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has officially launched an investigation into Lumber Liquidators’ laminate flooring products, saying that it is taking recent allegations “very seriously” and that it is “moving aggressively to get the answers that consumers … deserve to have.”
In a conference call on March 25, CPSC Chairman Elliot F. Kaye said that the company –– named in dozens of civil lawsuits across the country for the alleged sale of flooring products containing dangerous levels of formaldehyde –– has been cooperative in the investigation.
