Employee Health Plan Settles $800,000 Federal Lawsuit Against Health Insurer




STATESVILLE, N.C. — A dispute over whether Blue Cross and Blue Shield failed to timely pay a large claim submitted under an employee health plan, causing the plan to sustain a loss when it could not claim the expenses under a reinsurance policy, has settled.

According to a May 18 docket note filed before Judge Kenneth D. Bell of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, Technibilt Ltd. Group Insurance Plan voluntarily settled its claims against Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
