Casino Owner Moves to Arbitrate Former Manager’s Wrongful Termination Claims

SAN DIEGO — Caesar Enterprise Services LLC (CES) has asked a California federal judge to order arbitration of a former general manager’s claims that he was forced to resign after voicing his concerns regarding the company’s decision to reopen its Indian casino resort during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an April 6 motion filed before Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, CES says the arbitration provision in its employment agreement is valid and enforceable, adding that court intervention is needed because the plaintiff has already refused to arbitrate.
