TSA Worker Sues Federal Government for COVID-19 Hazard Pay

WASHINGTON, D.C. — An airport worker has sued the federal government, accusing it of failing to adequately compensate Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees who were forced to come into close contact with travelers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plaintiff Marion Higgins filed the complaint on Nov. 30 in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims “on behalf of all TSA employees who were not paid the hazardous duty pay differential for exposure to virulent biologicals, or the environmental differential for exposure to hazardous micro-organisms.”
