N.J Dental Practice Sues Hartford, Sentinel for COVID-19 Coverage

CAMDEN, N.J. — A New Jersey dental practice has sued its insurers in federal court, demanding coverage for losses it sustained after it was required to halt operations in compliance with government shutdown orders issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an Oct. 14 class action complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, June Weiss DMD PA says it has incurred “direct physical loss of or damage” to its property, as required by the policy issued by defendants Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. and Sentinel Insurance Company, Ltd.
