MIAMI — A Florida theatre has voluntarily dismissed French reinsurer SCOR SE from its federal lawsuit seeking coverage for COVID-19-related business interruption losses, leaving its subsidiary, General Security Indemnity Company of Arizona, as the sole defendant.

Actors Playhouse Productions Inc. filed the notice of voluntary dismissal on Oct. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Actors Playhouse operates the “Miracle Theatre,” a performing arts theater located in Coral Gables, Fla. On July 20, Actors Playhouse sued General Security Indemnity Company of Arizona (GSICA) and its parent company, SCOR SE, seeking damages for breach of contract …
