Chubb Says Trade Secrets Misappropriation Claims Against Endurance Sufficiently Pled

NEWARK, N.J. — In an opposition to Endurance Reinsurance Corporation of America’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit accusing it of misappropriating trade secrets, Chubb INA Holdings Inc. says it has sufficiently pled claims under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and the Defend Trade Secrets Act.

In a Jan. 3 filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Chubb contends that certain former employees who left to work at Endurance retained confidential Chubb documents past the enactment date of the DTSA with the intent to disclose them to Chubb’s competitors.
