Tryg Files 3rd Party Complaint Against Cerberus Holding in N.Y. Reinsurance Dispute

NEW YORK — In a dispute over reinsurance proceeds allegedly owed to the estate of The Home Insurance Co., reinsurer Tryg Forsikring A/S has filed a 3rd party complaint against Cerberus Holding Company LLC, asserting that it is liable for any adverse judgment and costs under a 2008 assumption agreement entered into with Tryg.

In the pleading, filed Dec. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Tryg asserts that Cerberus failed to inform it of the Home liquidator’s claim and failed to provide Tryg with accurate information and documents concerning the litigation.
