N.M. Federal Judge Orders Parties To Arbitrate in Dispute Over Buy-Out Offer

SANTA FE, N.M. — A New Mexico federal judge has ordered the parties to an operating agreement to arbitrate a dispute arising from a buy-out offer, ruling that the parties have clearly agreed to submit to arbitration and that the dispute falls within the agreement’s arbitration provision.

On Jan. 6, Senior Judge Lourdes Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico appointed an arbitrator, noting that she was authorized to do so under the Federal Arbitration Act.
