Stonebridge Asks Ohio Judge to Dismiss Syndicates’ D.J. Action In Light of Pending Arbitration

CLEVELAND – Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Co. has asked an Ohio federal court to dismiss an action filed by certain Lloyd’s of London syndicates seeking a declaration that they are not liable under an alleged reinsurance contract covering the “Stonebridge Tire Program.”

In a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Stonebridge argues that the dispute over reinsurance coverage for the program was already pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and has recently been sent to arbitration.
