NEW YORK - An insurer must produce its reinsurance information in a coverage declaratory judgment action, a New York federal magistrate judge has ruled, citing federal law and 2nd Circuit case law. Suffolk Federal Credit Union v. CUMIS Insurance Society Inc., No. 10-0001 (E.D. N.Y.).

On Oct. 19, U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas E. Boyle ordered CUMIS Insurance Society Inc. to honor Suffolk Credit Union's request for the information.
