Illinois High Court Will Not Review Attorneys Fees Ruling




CHICAGO - The highest court in Illinois has refused to allow Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co. to appeal the vacatur of a portion of an arbitration ruling that awarded attorneys fees to the insurer. Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co., et al. v. Global Reinsurance Corporation of America, No. 08-42242 (Ill. App., 1st Div.).

The Illinois Supreme Court on Sept. 29 refused to review an appellate court's ruling that the award of attorneys fees violated the state insurance code.
