Discovery Period Extended in $4.3 Million Retrocessional Dispute

TRENTON, N.J. - A federal magistrate judge has extended the discovery period in a $4.3 million retrocessional dispute so that American National Insurance Co. may review additional discovery materials relating to the attachment point for its liability under the contracts at issue. Munich Reinsurance America Inc. v. American National Insurance Co., No. 09-06435 (D. N.J.).

In a Sept. 15 order, Magistrate Judge Douglas Arpert of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey determined that the 60-day extension of the discovery period to Dec. 1 is for good cause.
