Oregon Judge Refuses to Revisit Ruling Denying Protective Order

SALEM, Ore. - An Oregon federal judge has refused to reconsider an earlier ruling that denied TIG Specialty Insurance Co.'s motion for a protective order shielding certain reinsurance documents. The Regence Group v. TIG Specialty Insurance Co., No. 07-1337 (D. Ore.).

Judge Ancer L. Haggerty of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon on Feb. 23 ruled that TIG failed to present "newly discovered evidence" or an "intervening change in controlling law" warranting reconsideration.
