Court Won't Reconsider Decision Affirming Reversal of $2 Million Verdict

JACKSON, Miss. -- The Mississippi Supreme Court will not reconsider its decision affirming the reversal of a $2 million benzene verdict, according to a one-page order released on Sept. 18. Watts v. Radiator Specialty Co., et al., No. 2006-CA-01128-SCT (Miss. Sup. Ct.).

As was the case when the high court affirmed the reversal of the verdict, three of the Supreme Court justices dissented from the recent order, saying instead they would have granted the motion for rehearing.
