CLEVELAND -- Dismissal documents were recently filed in an Ohio benzene case in which attorneys for the plaintiffs and defendants Ashland Inc. and the Dow Chemical Co. agreed to a dismissal of all claims. Christopher v. Ashland Inc., et al., No. 07-03351 (N.D. Ohio).

On Sept. 17, a stipulation of dismissal was filed by the parties in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Frank Christopher claimed that his work as a railroad mechanic and railroad sheet metal worker and pipefitter for more than 30 years required him to work with benzene-containing materials, ultimately causing his leukemia.
