Parties Agree to ExxonMobil Chemical's Dismissal from N.C. Action

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The parties in a North Carolina benzene case have agreed to the dismissal of defendant ExxonMobil Chemical, whom a magistrate judge previously recommended be dismissed from the litigation on statute of limitation grounds. Stromberg, et al. v. Ashland Inc., et al., No. 07-332 (M.D. N.C.).

On Sept. 23, the parties agreed to dismiss the claims with prejudice, according to the filing in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
