NEW ORLEANS -- A Louisiana plaintiff has filed a third amended complaint in federal court, despite defense objections that the two new defendants named in the lawsuit were only added to defeat diversity jurisdiction. Tessitore, et al. v. Chevron Oronite Co., et al., No. 06-4126 (E.D. La.).

On July 29, Chevron Oronite Co. objected to the plaintiffs filing a third amended complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, saying that the plaintiffs were seeking to join two non-diverse Chevron employees.
