SEATTLE -- A benzene defendant has sought a protective order in federal court, arguing that it cannot comply with a request by the plaintiffs to designate experts for one of the deposition categories. Darmanin, et al. v. ConocoPhillips, et al., No. 06-1429 (W.D. Wash.).

On Nov. 8, BP Products North filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington for a protective order, objecting to the request of the plaintiffs to designate and produce witnesses to testify on the locations of benzene-regulated areas and warning signs with the facility the plaintiff was allegedly exposed.
