LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- A non-party in a benzene lawsuit has moved to quash a request for production of documents, saying that it has been dismissed from the litigation and does not have the records the plaintiffs seek. Johnese, et al. v. Ashland Chemical Inc., et al., No. 06-001632 (E.D. Ark.).

On July 30, Ameron International Corp. filed a motion to quash in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, saying that because it is not a party to the litigation, it does not have to respond to the plaintiffs' 35 requests for production of documents.
