MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Alabama Supreme Court has denied an application for rehearing in a statute of limitations dispute the plaintiff now intends to take up to the U.S. Supreme Court, sources told HarrisMartin. Cline v. Ashland Inc., et al., No. 1041076 (Ala. Sup. Ct.).
The high court issued the order on Feb. 5, declining to reconsider its Jan. 5 decision that denied an attempt by benzene plaintiff Jack Cline to challenge Alabama's two-year statute of limitations.
