Parties Reviewing Record in Appeal of Order Vacating $2 Million Verdict

RALEIGH, Miss. -- Sources in the Mississippi Circuit Court for Smith County told HarrisMartin that the record in the appeal of an order vacating a $2 million benzene verdict was finalized on Jan. 5 and has been sent to the attorneys for review. Watts v. Radiator Specialty, et al., No. 2002-364 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Smith Cty.).
Sources indicated that once all parties review the record, the appeal will be sent to the Mississippi Supreme Court, where a briefing schedule will be set.
