Benzene Plaintiff Settles Claims with Remaining Defendants

LOS ANGELES -- A benzene plaintiff has reached a confidential settlement with the remaining defendants in the lawsuit, sources told HarrisMartin. Lopez v. Does 1 through 100, Inclusive, No. BC285049 (Calif. Sup. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
Trial was scheduled to begin Oct. 24 in the California Superior Court for Los Angeles. In separate orders issued Oct. 7 and Oct. 13, the court granted several of the defendant's motions for determination of good faith settlements.
According to the orders, the motions were made by Imperial Adhesives Inc., Sunnyside Corp., W.M. Barr & Co., Camie-Campbell Inc. and Claire-Sprayway.
