ATLANTA – A petition for rehearing has been filed by plaintiffs in a Camp Lejeune lawsuit, one month after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit upheld a lower court’s decision to dismiss the case on grounds that the plaintiffs had failed to disclose prior bankruptcy proceedings. Jones v. United States of America, No. 11-13158 (11th Cir.).

The plaintiffs filed the petition for rehearing on April 30 in the appellate court, contesting the court’s finding that the lawsuit was judicially estopped.
