CINCINNATI –– The 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals heard oral arguments relating to the appeal of a $1.6 million verdict reached at the conclusion of the first bellwether C-8 water contamination personal injury trial, according to the court’s online docket.

The 6th Circuit heard arguments on Dec. 9, with each side allotted 15 minutes to present their side, the docket entry said.

In their merit brief filed July 28 in the 6th Circuit, the plaintiffs backed the MDL Court’s decision to reject post-trial motions, maintaining that the defendant had distorted the record and failed “to address how its own …
